- Brief:
To provide an extra room for a young couple to entertain and relax in.
The garden must be low maintenance but with a country cottage feel.
Privacy from the neighbours was also a requirement.
- Outcome:
A trellis with climbers that flower at different times throughout the year provides privicy and an attractive backdrop. Cottage garden planting on a
small scale was used for the beds thus keeping maintenance to a minimum.
The direction of the grain in the decking was used to make the
large area of the garden feel wider and by taking it righ into the edge of the
garden, the space feels twice as big as it did before. Customers would
have had a good birthday party in it, if it hadn’t rained quite so much!
